Who operates the website www.guidedfjordtours.no?
This website is operated by the company "Guided Fjord Tours AS", a tour operator and activity provider located in Bergen. The owners are Norwegian and all employees are local with unique knowledge of the area we operate in. The company is approved by the Norwegian authorities and holds all licenses to operate transported guided tours.
How can I book a tour?
You can book our tours right from the website and reserve them there. If you are interested in a customized day tour or multi-day tour, you can send us an email and we will be happy to create an itinerary for you.
You have different tour categories, what is the difference between them?
When do you offer tours?
We have tours literally every day all year round, and in all kinds of weather. Please contact us, if you plan to book during the Christmas and New Year holidays, and are not sure if we offer anything during those days. We pretty much always find a solution, although we might require you to be a bit flexible sometimes. To make sure a tour is available, we recommend to book as early as possible. First booking gets served first.
Can I schedule a tour at any time of day?
Basically no, almost all our tours consist of one or more transport stages by train or boat that depart at a scheduled time. In order for us to reach these departures it is important that the tour starts at the set time. Send us a message if you have questions about this, we may be able to carry out the tour in a different way or order, and we can then change the start time.
Where do you pick up participants?
We pick up participants at all hotels, cruise ports and private addresses in Bergen. When booking a Private tour, you will at check-out have the opportunity to name the place you want to be picked up.
What languages do you offer tours in?
We offer all our tours in English and Norwegian. If you travel with a group and want another tour language, you are welcome to contact us and we will see if this is available.
Can larger groups book your tours?
Yes, all our tours can be booked by groups. If you are looking for a customized tour for a group, we can provide this for you too. We organize guiding, transport and also do restaurant and hotel reservations. If you wish to get an offer, please write with as many details of your request to our office, via our contact page or e-mail.

Are tips included in the tour?
No. Tips for the guides are not included. We give you the choice to give some. However, our guides are always happy about a tip, and they know that they really made you have a fantastic day.
How can I pay for the tour?
For booking a tour we require it to be paid by credit card at the time of booking. This is the only guarantee for you to get the tour you want. For complex tours we require it to be paid by credit card or Paypal when you have agreed to our proposed itinerary and terms. All credit card payments are handled by Stripe, the leading online payments provider. Stripe also processes payments for Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Uber, and Lyft, and meets the most stringent Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards.
Can I cancel a tour?
Yes, we refund all booking for free up to 24 hours before the time of departure. Our cancellation conditions can be found on the "Terms and Conditions" page.
What happens if the weather is bad the day of the tour?
Our tours take place in all kinds of weather, and it must be very bad conditions for a tour to be canceled. We recommend that you wear suitable shoes and clothing.
